HOW TO DO CHORES LIKE A BOSS

It is said that nothing is permanent except death, taxes, and house chores. Have you ever felt as if you spent most of your time cleaning? Now that the kids are home for a long holiday, shouldn’t they help with the house chores?

So, is there a way to make chores fun? Yes!

One of the oldest tricks in the book is to ensure that you have a great cleaning playlist. When cleaning with the kids, play high-energy music. Ask them to curate a playlist that they would enjoy for better motivation. Giving this autonomy to the kids will help them own the chores more.

Another tried and tested method to make house chores more enjoyable is to incentivize. It goes both ways. When cleaning on your own, promise yourself a token. Lunch at a nice restaurant, a movie later, or simply an item you’ve wanted to purchase would suffice. Simply put, allow yourself to earn these things. The same goes for anyone who helps, including the kids. Giving your kids an allowance or simple badges of honor when they support in chores is a great way to teach responsibility.

It goes without saying, always go for high-quality products. Cleaning comes with its own set of challenges. For example, you’d need a high-quality washing soap like Jamaa cream and a suitable sponge to wash dishes. Similarly, you’d need a high-quality toilet cleaner like Atilla Toilet Cleaner, a good brush, and gloves to clean your loo. When you invest in these things, cleaning becomes more effortless and enjoyable for you, the kids, and your partner.

Lastly, schedule breaks. Like any other line of work, ensure you give yourself and the rest of the team time to rest. The chore’s difficulty can advise the frequency of the breaks.

The more arduous the chore the more frequent the breaks. Breaks break the monotony and make the activities more fun. How else do you make house chores fun in your household? Tell us in the comments below.
