CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

We are in improvement mode here at Kapa (our Numi Noodles are testament to this). In the spirit of improvement, how about we hone some healthy habits that will improve your health?

MAKE IT AT HOME

Prioritizing homemade meals over packaged foods as much as possible is the best way to know exactly what you are eating and to improving your health overall. When you make food from scratch you know all the ingredients, the measurements, and you’re in total control of what you are putting into your body. One way to ensure that you make homemade meals as much as possible is to simply stock up! If you keep good food in your fridge, you will eat good food…simple. When all you have around you are nothing but healthy options you are much more likely to make healthy choices and to eat better as a result.

HYDRATE

Of course no healthy eating article is complete without good old water. Starting your day with water is important for rehydration as more than often we wake up a little bit dehydrated after a night’s sleep. Water is however not the only way to get enough fluids into your day. Herbal teas are another great way to get lots of fluids and improve your overall health.

SLUMBERLAND

A bit hard to come by for busy people, but sleep is truly critical to improving your health. Ever noticed that anytime you get a really good night’s sleep you’re always so much more energetic with a lot better mental clarity? That’s because our brains prune themselves while we are asleep leaving us feeling refreshed with much better mental clarity and stamina the following day.

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

Listening to the various signs and signals that your bodies tell you, whether a feeling of fatigue or an upset stomach after eating a certain food or a skin breakout, allows you to make the necessary changes to feel better. It may be a good idea to work with a professional if you’re unsure but regardless it’s all about listening to your body and honoring its demands. Eliminate what doesn’t work for your body from your diet, no matter how much you enjoy it.
