How Your Favourite Tune Can Help You

Sometimes it takes just one song to help you recover from heartbreak, get you out of bed or out of a slump.  The opposite is just as true. Music has the ability to bring you tears, or get you leaping with joy. Its abilities transcend to make us feel a certain way.

Research has shown that music increases antibody that plays an important role in immunity. Listening to music allows lowers the levels of cortisol or stress. If you think about it, that’s probably why the doctors on Grey’s anatomy and House always seem to be playing some type of music in the operation room.

Chosen correctly, the right tune can help push you just a little bit further and help you accomplish more in your day to day work. Struggle with waking up early? Why not play some Bob Marley or Beyonce? It will feel like a good friend giving you a much deserved pep talk.
