Hack Your Morning Mood With Food

Moods are temporary feelings and states of mind. However, many of us struggle with mornings and we decided to try and do some research on how to improve and elate our moods.

One way to hack your mood is by using food. Here, we will look at a few foods and habits that may help you get your groove back when you’re feeling down. In case you have food-related disorders, please seek nutritional advice from a qualified professional.

Reconsider your morning routine.  People who have a regular morning routine have been found to have a better mood. Firstly, ensure that you have a well-balanced breakfast at least one hour before your morning workout. Foods rich in Vitamin D such as egg yolk and cheese are highly recommended. You can also spread Prestige Margarine over whole wheat bread fortified with Vitamin D. You can also improve your cooking with Rinsun Sunflower Oil fortified with vitamin A, D & E.

Veggies, fruits, and whole grains can help you manage your sugar levels better compared to highly refined carbohydrates. Vegetables, similarly, contain vitamins and minerals that help your brain manage your mood better. Leafy vegetables like spinach, sukuma wiki, and broccoli are highly recommended.

Cocoa, coffee & tea. Cocoa has polyphenols – these are antioxidants that boost your mood. Coffee and tea contain caffeine. It is the caffeine in these drinks that helps you feel better and stimulated.  A cup of coffee or tea might lift your mood, but too much of it may leave you feeling jittery therefore, moderation is key.
