We live in a society where everyone is becoming more health-conscious. People have become gym bunnies and are conscious of the calories they take in. People have also adopted different health fads, from Keto diets to aerobics to jogging and intermittent fasting. Even as we choose to live and eat healthily, it’s also good to consider a healthy oil. This month we will get to know more about Sunflower Oil. Rinse Sunflower oil has many nutrients that are beneficial to the body.

It contains Omega 3 & 6. Omega 3 helps lower blood pressure, reduces chances of abnormal heart rhythms and triglycerides which are fats from foods that we eat and are carried in the blood. It also helps lower the development of plaque in arteries. Omega 6 lowers LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) sometimes called bad cholesterol. High levels of LDL raise your risk of heart disease and stroke. So, in essence, Omega 6 lowers LDL and raises HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein).

Sunflower Oils contain Vitamin E which is an antioxidant. This helps protect the skin from free radicals and harmful effects of the sun such as premature aging and wrinkles. It contains more Vitamin E than any other Vegetable oil. Rinsun Sunflower Oil is high in poly and monosaturated fats, is naturally trans-fat-free, making it a healthy choice over all other oils.

Rinsun is fully winterized and dewaxed. In short, what winterization simply means is that to separate lipids and desired oil, the process uses a solvent and cold temperatures to separate these elements. It involves dissolving the extract in alcohol then placing it in a mixture to chill. The cold allows the compounds by differences in their melting points. An interesting fact according to Wikipedia is that in 2018, 18 million tons of Sunflower Oil were produced led by Ukraine and Russia as the leading producers together accounting for 53% of the world total.
