Healthy Sleeping Positions

Ever heard of people who can sleep anywhere without any problem? Bet you have. All these people probably have different sleeping positions that they feel most comfortable in. If you ask around, some prefer sleeping on their backs, others love love sleeping on their sides, while others prefer sleeping on their stomach.

Let’s look at a few pointers on some healthy sleeping positions.

Lying On Your Stomach

This position is also known as the freefall. Basically, your head is turned to one side and your hands are up around your pillow.

During the night, most of us toss and turn and end up on this position. The health benefit of this sleeping position is that it helps in digestion.

On Your Side

Most if not all of us fall under this category. When sleeping, you can either sleep on your left or right side. Resting on your side can help alleviate some problems associated with acid reflux disease and sleep apnea.

On Your Back

Yaasss! This position makes it to the list J. Many people have different opinions concerning this sleeping position. Some say sleeping on your back causes you to snore. However, sleeping on our back makes it easier for your head, neck, and spine to align. By sleeping in this position, no extra pressure or curves are being added to the back.

There you have it folks! Enjoy that sleep by practicing these simple healthy sleep positions.
