Take Care Of Your Thoughts

‘The health craze’, or so it has been touted, is the new in thing and we are absolutely over the moon about it. We are taking better care of our bodies, (we see you with the veggie smoothie Nyambura!) and you know what, well done Nyamz. Your body is a temple and so it should be treated. Which is why you should always cook with Rinsun! Lol! If you thought we would miss a brand plug in, you thought wrong!

That aside though, we need to get a bit serious on wholeness. Something that we normally overlook is our overall health and this includes the body and mind.

“Ten things you should eat to be a healthier you!’ Sounds familiar, right?

“Ten things you should do to get your mental health back” A bit mental, right?

One study of people with anxiety disorders showed that after psychological treatment, the number of medical visits decreased by 90%, laboratory costs decreased by 50%, and overall treatment costs dropped by 35%.

Also….

Other studies have found that excessive anxiety and stress can contribute to physical problems such as heart disease, ulcers, and colitis. Anxiety and stress can also reduce the strength of the immune system, making people more vulnerable to medical conditions.

Boom! Schooled!

The lesson here is that it is important to take care of your thoughts. As hard as it might seem at times, smile, it fools your brain to happy thoughts. Pause from the rush, take a minute to yourself. Appreciate one thing going right in your life and be thankful for it. Dance with no music on. Call a friend, a family member and have a conversation about nothing to do with work, business or any other pressure in your life. Breathe.

And as always remember, we love you!
