April is here! It’s holiday time and this season most of us will be indoors.  Are you wondering how you will keep yourself and the kids entertained? Here are 5 indoor games that will keep you engaged during this holiday season.

 

  1. Board games

Board games challenge your mind. For you to win, you have to think outside the box in hope that your competitor will not beat you at it. Get games such as scrabble, chess and monopoly. The best thing about board games is that it’s favourable to all. Regardless of age. So, how about you play it as a family!

 

1)  DIY’s (Do It Yourself)

It is debatable whether DIY’s can be classified as games, but undoubtedly, they are fun to do and bring out creativity. You can have painting DIY’s, creating a new toy or even repairing one. Now that it’s Easter season, how about painting some Easter eggs?

2) Treasure Hunt

Treasure hunt is a game in which a person or team attempts to be first in finding something that has been hidden using written clues or directions. It is both an indoor and outdoor game. You can have clues at different places in the house and have the children look for them. Have a prize so that they are motivated to win. This game requires much physical effort and thinking. It will leave you in stitches as you watch them look for the clues.

 

3) Balloon Taps

Recall how excited you were anytime you spotted a balloon when you were a child? How you wanted to tap it and play with it at weddings and birthday parties? Now, get some balloons for the kids and play a game around it. You can have a balloon football, balloon handball or even a balloon head balance. Try it out. It will be fun!

4) Charades- Act it Out

This game entails making gestures to represent concepts. You can play it in teams. One team will describe to the other a word which they are expected to guess. You can download this game on your phone. The team that gets most words correct wins.
