The Dapper Boy

This month, we celebrate International Men’s Day on the 19th of November, we would like to dedicate this article to our growing men who are probably wearing their clothes out faster during this season.

Your mini me’s are a reflection of you. If you believe in looking dapper, they must also be dapper. However, they do not have your presence of mind, the priority or an ability to take care of clothes like you do.

We have compiled a list of three ways to choose attire for young boys, for various occasions.

  • When it’s hot – When boys get hot, boys find creative ways to keep cool. Thankfully, shorts are in and you can control the heat and the cost it brings with it, with cotton shorts. These paired with a cotton vest are easy enough to move in and affordable enough to replace.
  • When it’s heavy – Lighter materials are easier to wash. Boys get into all sorts of adventures and there’s no telling what kind of stains, heavy or light, they will pick up. Dress them in light and tough materials of any colour. Detergents like Toss are designed to keep colours in and colours brighter. Here is a list of other soaps and detergents you can use to keep your clothes looking like new: https://www.kapa-oil.com/our-brands/detergent-brands/toss-blue/
  • When it’s tough – Boys will be boys. They will tumble and roll with no regard to what they are wearing or whoever will wash it. Materials like cotton are durable and easily printed on. This means your little man can not only look like a little version of you with their style, they can also be more adventurous. Hot tip: floral shirts are in!

Hot take: Denim has been trusted technology in the dressing of boys for generations. Today, advances mean stretch denim, pre-washed denim and a variety of other types and forms of denim. The beauty of everything, though, is that in 2020, everybody is allowed to choose their own style.
