DRESSING FOR THE UNPREDICTABLE WEATHER

There’s nothing worse than getting caught in the rain unprepared. Walking around in wet socks and drenched hair is a horrible way to spend your day. What starts as a rainy morning ends up turning into a hot sunny day. How do you prepare for such inconsistent weather?

The problem is, rain is incredibly difficult to dress for. Showers can be unpredictable. But with the long rains slated for this April we might as well get prepared for what’s coming. You could be shivering or sweating; so we put together this handy little guide to help you figure out how to prepare for the April weather.

  1. Pick slim trousers in a lightweight, quick dry fabric. Go for black, as it won’t show signs of rain or muddy debris.
  2. Try a longer jacket for full coverage, and make sure it’s legitimately water repellent. It will do better to keep rain off you than an umbrella.
  3. Learn to layer up. Wear clothes in layers as opposed to putting on a bulky single piece. This allows you to remove and add the layers with changes in weather.
  4. Decide against heavy fabrics such as denim and suede as when wet they will take a long time to dry leaving your legs slightly damp all day long.
  5. Switch up your accessories to weatherproof versions e.g. your bag and shoes. This ensures that your essentials are left dry from the weather.

Whatever you choose to wear remember that confidence is still a great look whether it’s raining or shining. Confidence comes with the knowledge that your clothes are clean with every wash. A guarantee that comes every time you use Toss.
