Traveling Hacks

Travelling is fun, but packing is not as fun. This month, many of us will be travelling to the other side of the city, the countryside, beachside or abroad. We have you in mind and have listed a few tips that we think will make packing for your next trip a lot easier.

  • Make a list

Before you even take the suitcase from its storage area, make a list. Write everything you think you might need during the duration of your trip. Having in mind the number of days you will be away, the climate of your destination and the activities you will be engaging in during your trip. This way, you are guaranteed that you will not leave out anything.

  • Roll clothes while packing

This is the best way to prevent creases and make the most of your space. Make sure you pack your clothes and shoes first before putting accessories and other things.

  • Choose travel-friendly fabrics

While travelling, go for fabrics that are less likely to crease as you are not assured of an iron box in your destination. Lighter clothes are also travel- friendly since they are not bulky, unless you are travelling to a cold area then you will need heavy outfits.

  • Pack the first outfit you’ll want to wear on top

What happens as soon as you get to your hotel at the coast? Most of us change into their swimwear and hit the pool, or the ocean. Have in mind what the first activity you will engage in. Pack the first attire that you will require on top, such that you won’t have to dig through everything else to find it. The packing list will be helpful to know the first thing you will reach out for once you reach your destination.

  • Minimalist Packing

Planning to shop during your vacation? Then pack as light as you can so that you don’t have to buy another suitcase to accommodate all the shopping you do.

  • Emergency/ Health kit

A medical emergency is the last thing you want to have when you are on vacay. It is important to carry an emergency kit incase anyone gets hurt or is unwell. Painkillers are a necessary.

Above all, don’t forget to pack your good vibes. Let the festivities begin!
