What’s your favourite food combo?

Some people argue that Sukuma wiki and Ugali are their favorite combo. Others would defend the Githeri Avocado combo with their lives. Not to be outdone, some people could even stage ‘maandamano’ in defense of Fish and Ugali. Others will argue that nothing beats freshly toasted bread and Prestige Margarine every morning.

And there’s also a Kenyan favorite, samosas inside a ndao, now this already gets some taste buds salivating. We all have our favorite food combos and this month we’ll spread the cheer with the best food pairings.

Just like we have our tasty food combos, truth be told, there are some weird food pairings out there. Like ice cream with fries, chocolate with avocado the list goes on.

And of course, there are some Kenyan ones like fish boiled with githeri; cabbage boiled with Chicken. No one’s judging but let’s just say everyone is entitled to their own taste.

This month, we’re giving interesting food combo tips that you can experiment with using Prestige Margarine. There are experimenters and purists when it comes to food, and most of us fall into either of these 2 categories.

Let’s shake up how we eat our food, shall we? Githeri is a staple in many homes, and it can get boring eating it the same old way. Try adding some freshly cut Avocadoes and a dollop of Prestige, and Githeri will never taste the same again.

Many of us love Uji. Taking Uji for a while can feel boring and habitual. To jazz it up a bit, add a dollop of Prestige Margarine in your Uji and taste the difference. You’ll be gulping cups in no time.

Sometimes, it’s a good thing to shock your taste buds and let them experiment with something different. Why not try spreading some delicious Prestige Margarine on your mandazis and chapatis? That taste is just unbelievable. Give it a try.

Not only is Prestige good as a spread, but it also works as an important ingredient for pancakes. So why not add some flavor to your pancakes? Instead of butter, use melted Prestige Margarine and mix it up with milk. Your pancakes will never taste the same again.

When baking fish, Prestige Margarine can come in handy especially when seasoning. If you choose to sauté instead of boiling, regulate the heat to avoid too much of it burning because your fish could end up losing its flavor.
