Tasty chapo stew recipe

There are some foods that bring back the memories. One such food is chapo and stew which was a preserve of special days like Christmas. This month, we’ll give you a simple recipe for you to explore.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 Tablespoons if Rina Vegetable Oil for spreading on the dough
  • Boiled water mixed with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil for kneading the dough

 

Preparation

  • Pour the hot vegetable oil in water and in the flour.
  • Stir using a wooden spoon to mix the hot water and flour until it forms a dough.
  • Use your fist to make a dough on a floured surface and make a rounded ball from it.
  • Roll out the prepared dough balls into round shapes.
  • Put one of the round shapes into a pre-heated pan; let the chapos cook for a few seconds and ensure to oil when flipping both sides.

 

Beef Stew

Ingredients:

  • 1/2kg beef cut into small sizes
  • 1 cup of water, 4 tablespoons of Rina Vegetable oil, 1 red onion, diced garlic
  • 3 fresh tomatoes, carrots, 5 small potatoes
  • ½ Paprika, ½ curry powder, salt, fresh ground pepper and fresh coriander

 

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, place meat, ginger, garlic and 1 cup of water.
  • Boil meat for 30 min – medium heat.
  • Pour broth into a separate bowl.
  • In another saucepan, heat vegetable oil on medium heat, fry onions till they’re soft.
  • Add your beef until it gets brown, add tomatoes, and cook until they’ve softened.
  • Add your spices, let the mixture simmer for the spices to mix well.
  • Add carrots and potatoes and stir well for 5 min.
  • Once everything is well mixed, add your broth, stir and cook on low heat for about 45 minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
